Kutztown University Internship

Every semester, the Communication Design department gives students the opportunity to go out on internship for a 7 week course in order to get a feel
for working in the field. These pieces are a few of the projects worked on
during said 7 week internship, which was with the Marketing department
of Kutztown University.

Among these projects is the poster for the Spring 2021 Chambliss Lecture by Dr. Albert Fu, Professor of Sociology. The lecture’s main focus was around the themes of nature, mankind, and cities, and how they all effect one another.
The illustration is a combination of all three elements, with the city and nature making up the figure’s mind, in a unique way to symbolize the lecture’s topic.

Also among these projects are a series of illustrations of Kutztown University’s mascot, Avalanche the Golden Bear. The university currently had illustrations of their mascot, however they were lacking in illustrations for commencement, which Avalanche has been an attendee for quite some time. The illustrations created were then used as a series of Instagram stories, as well as in an on campus advertisement for the student success center.
