Kaiyo Sweets is a Japanese/American
ice cream shop which specializes
in unique ice cream flavors popular
in Japan. Unique flavors such as Sakura,
Matcha, and Soy Sauce, are served in
fish shaped waffle cones.
The colorful branding combines elements from oceanic design, and Japanese styled illustration. The logo is inspired by the symbol of yin and yang, with the fish and ice cream cone swirling together in a circular motion. This balanced logo signifies the coming together of the two themes within the design. The style of the logo is carried throughout
the branding which gives the restaurant a cute, fun, seaside feel.
